So I was born in Bucharest moved to Cluj, but with strong background from Chibed, Transylvania. My parents and grandparents used to drive me 400 Km every summer from place of birth to place of heritage or south to center. On the way, in Rupea,Brasov, there is a fortress which at that time was in a very bad shape. Passing this location I was constantly wondering how it is inside and how it feels to stay in that castle and look down the valley but never stopped to check it out. I am not kidding. In 26 years of driving past a corner of history I have never stopped to look around...until I met Paulie, Raluca and Sebi. Another escapade to Brasov and on the way back to Cluj there it stood in the chilly night: Rupea fortress. Of course there was one option and Paulie steered to the right. Unfortunately it was late and was closed but at least I have fed my 26 year old curiosity. And there you go: Rupea by night. Bucket list item nr 27 checked!
